AnimeSTL 2011 Day03

Last day of con! Sundays always pretty tame, stuff wise. I did however get alot of commisions today. I was drawing right till the last min. Made 2 really great Bleach bags too. Chris and I cleaned up around 3 so we missed the closing ceremonies this time. But I did get alot of pics, most I took after we closed down. I just ran around taking pics of any straglers.

My next con is Tiger con, in Memphis should be interesting. Its there first con and its also free. Dont know how good ill do money wise but a $25 table and new experience? I couldent just pass it up now could I. Well thats all for now pyon

AnimeSTL 2011 Day02

Hey all another awsome day at animecon. As you can see from my pics I was buisy and couldnt take many. I did get to draw some really cool stuff so far^^. After the room closed I slid into the gameing room for some street fighter alpha. Even ran into my old pal Dave, goodtimes.... My friend Lindseys BF was in one of the sleeping samurai tourneys so I watched him get to the semis. After that NotRave time!!!! all in allit was a good day two. Now for day three! pyon

AnimeSTL 2011 Day01

Ah... another great start to a great con! Got to the convention center at about 12:30 to setup, and WOW! they managed to book the whole convention center this time. No pesky dance comp. kids running around, no crusty wedding, just us geeks^^ So anyway the dealers and artist are in one big room this time. I was never a fan of this format but meh. There is alot of great cosplay this year so im excited about that. Took a bit more pics then I usually do. Ill also try and get a shot of my booth before tomarow. well thats it enjoy pyon

Netflixs!

Turned on the Netflixs today and guess what... new stuff! lots of cool new shows and movies to watch. So I've been watching Alley McBeal pretty much all day^^. And with that I drew this pic of Calista Flockhart. Hows it look? sometimes i feel like I didn't do her nose right.. ah well, it is my first caracter drawn from watching a show.

Anyways got another con coming up soon, next week even! Its AnimeSTL in Collinsville Ill, huh? Collinsville i thought it was called AnimeSTL? Well thats just where they hapen to find a desent sized place to hold it at. LOL seriously though this will be there second year at that location, St. Charles was better for Anime09 but whatever still a good place. Me and the B-man are looking into getting a hotel room for the event. Plus I may have some new color arts to add to my plethora of art works^^

Tuesday....

Another boring work day today... I did manage to get this sketch of Andre Braugher from Men of a Certain Age, great show by the way. Just went through a few magazines and saw this pic and decided it was good enough to try. I think it turned out... ok. More season2 episodes start June 1st so im looking forward to that.

Sketch of the day!

Well another.... exciting? day at the station. Started ok with 3 drawings before 12, but the day turnd to crust as I only did one more after I had lunch at 5. Well I did color some Pics on the computer. Also I drew this pic of Sarah Hyland the awsome actress who plays Hayley on Modern Family, one of my fav. caracters^^. It has been a while sence id done a caricature in pencil so this was fun.

I work again tomarow so who knows I may have more^^ later pyon

Spring Cleaning!

Well I know what the title says, but i manly just fixed up the studio work area. My draw space had gotten a bit messy the last few months from over work^^ so I went ahead and gave it a thorough cleaning. I even picked up some new supplies as I wanted to try inking my next comic with actual dip ink(like the manga pros) lol cant find toning sheets anywhere in St. Louis so ill have to get them online. Its nice to have a clean workshop though, Its a bit easier to get around to stuff as well as finding a place to put everything. Specialty the new stuff, am I making any sense?

Lol anyway enjoy this sweet cos-play of Kokonoe Rin from Kodomo no Jikan, one of my fav. manga. The girl cos-playing is also a semi-popular YouTube idol Yukapon. Check her stuff out, or not. Still a good cos-play ^^
